Brett Ward
Vice President, North America, Polymer Operations
Brett Ward joined Boyd in 2010 and is the Vice President of Operations for the Polymer Division. He has more than 27 years of experience with emphasis in rubber compounding, vulcanization and extrusion, plastic extrusion and injection molding, high speed metal stamping and thermoforming. Brett currently manages operations of Boyd’s polymer extrusion and polyimide foam manufacturing facilities.
Before joining Boyd, Brett served as Director of Operations and then Corporate Director of Continuous Improvement at Pactiv, a manufacturer and distributor of food packaging and foodservice products, supplying packers, processors, supermarkets, restaurants, institutions and foodservice outlets across North America. At Pactiv, Brett managed manufacturing facilities as well as led implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principals / Strategies across 31 manufacturing facilities. He was also the Director of Operations at United Plastics Group, where he had both domestic and international responsibilities. Markets of particular emphasis for Brett have included Automotive (Tier I and Tier II), Commercial Vehicle, Agriculture and Construction, Medical, Electronics and Consumer.
Brett’s areas of expertise include P&L Management, Strategic Planning, Acquisition Integration, Turnarounds, Facility Start-ups, Facility Rationalizations, Private Equity Portfolio Company Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Process Optimization and Polymer Technology.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
